This website belongs to the practice of Dr. Paulo Michels, plastic surgeon at Elyzee Hospital, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Patient privacy is part of medical care: this page explains, in plain language, what information we receive through drpaulomichels.ae, why, and how you stay in control of it.

What we collect

• Consultation form: your name, email, phone number, the procedure you are interested in and any message you choose to write.
• WhatsApp, phone and email: whatever you decide to share with the team, which may include photos and health information relevant to your consultation.
• Anonymous usage: when you tap a WhatsApp button we count the click (page, button position and language only). No name, number or identifier is recorded, and no cookies are set for this.

We do not use advertising cookies, and this website does not run third-party analytics or tracking pixels.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange your consultation.
• To prepare and provide your medical care, including pre-operative and post-operative follow-up.
• To meet legal and regulatory duties that apply to medical practice in the UAE, including keeping medical records.

We never sell your information, and we never use your photos or story in publicity without your separate, written consent.

Who processes your information

• Clinic team: only the staff involved in your enquiry or care, who are bound by medical confidentiality.
• Patient records system: the clinic's records and messaging system is hosted in the UAE (Microsoft Azure, UAE North region).
• WhatsApp: messages are carried by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy terms.
• Website hosting: Cloudflare serves this website and may process technical data such as IP addresses to keep it secure.
• Map: the map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps; Google may set its own cookies when the map loads.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become a consultation are kept only as long as needed to respond and follow up. Medical records are kept for the period required by UAE health regulations.

Your rights

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, receive a copy, or have it deleted — except where the law requires us to keep medical records. You may also withdraw consent to be contacted at any time. To make a request, write to contact@drpaulomichels.ae or message us onWhatsApp (+971 50 106 7981). We will confirm your identity before releasing any information.

Security

Access to patient information is restricted to authorised staff, protected by individual accounts and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending sensitive details by email when WhatsApp or an in-person visit will do.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
